Promoting the health of our forests is the bedrock foundation for economically and environmentally sustainable rural communities along the Eastern Shore. On the Deanery Project’s 25 wooded acres, visitors learn to tap maple and birch trees, build low-impact woodlands trails, develop non-timber forest products, and manage their woodlots in the winter. And the miles of trails are great for tree- and plant-identification classes, or just for a nice walk (or snowshoe) in the woods.
