The Deanery Project’s 10th Annual Sealight Skylight Festival is Just Around the Corner!
Join us as we close out a fantastic Eastern Shore Summer with Sealight Skylight – Cosmic Currents: An Autumn Festival of Arts & Science
Save the date: Saturday, October 5th, from 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
This year’s festival will feature music, workshops, performances, and presentations themed around the ocean and the night sky—fun for all ages!
SeaLight SkyLight has been an all-ages festival at the Deanery since 2013. It is a celebration of the sciences and the arts with a focus on the area’s naturally-occurring ocean bioluminescence, and dark night sky. The family friendly festival brings together live music, workshops, displays, and a candle lit procession, guiding guests down to the waterfront to engage with the ocean bioluminescence.
This year’s festivities include musical performances by Bill Dawe, Nick Bishop, Nicole Tufts, Bill Ricky Band and many more! We are excited to welcome back the Halifax Planetarium and members of the Royal Astronomical Society to share their passion and experience of the night sky. New this year, we are collaborating with Music Declares Emergency and Rock the Bike to turn our Solar Kiln into a pedal-powered stage!
For a super full day on the Eastern Shore, en route to SeaLight SkyLight, check out the nearby Forest Festival @memorylaneheritagevillage 11:00 am – 4:00pm.
