An Introduction to Natural Building Weekend!
We are excited to, at long last, be able to again host in-person natural building workshops at the Deanery.
Saturday, June 25th, 9 am – 6pm
Sunday, June 26th 9 am – 5pm
Each day begins with an in-depth tour of on or off-site natural building projects, and conversations with their owners, followed by hands-on learning projects in the afternoon.
Cost $350 (includes food, one night lodging & HST)

Schedule
Saturday: Participants will explore the wide range of natural building techniques in use at the Deanery Project. The afternoon skill-building session will focus on earth wall and floor systems as well as round wood, and wattle construction.
Sunday: We will spend the morning touring a local strawbale home and an Earthship. The afternoon skill-building session will focus on clay wall installation & maintenance, rammed tires, and milk and lime paints.
Saturday, July 25th
8:30-9am Arrival and social time
9am-11am Tour of applied natural building examples at the Deanery Project.
11-12pm Orientation to hands on projects
12pm-1pm Lunch
1-5pm Hands on projects (earthen floors, clay plasters, round wood and wattle construction)
5-6pm Reflection, review, closing
6-7pm Dinner
Sunday, July 26th
8:30-9am Arrival and social time
9am-12pm Tour of local (off site) natural building systems (straw bale and earthship)
12-1pm Lunch
1-4:30pm Hands on projects (straw bale, clay paints & plasters rammed tires)
4:30- 5pm Reflection, review, closing
