Make your own print lantern

With the Deanery’s SeaLight SkyLight Festival coming up on August 9th and 10th, we plan to prepare by making some beautiful festive lanterns and glowing back drops to enhance the magic of the event!

You are invited to make your own printed lantern with us on Saturday July 20th from 1:00 – 5:30

$20 (or $10 for low income) (tax included)

Coffee, tea and a light cake-type snack will be available.

In this workshop we will create our own prints with recycled styrofoam, pattern them on rice paper then construct them into lanterns using recycled cardboard. You will walk away with your own lantern and are also invited to return for the SeaLight SkyLight Festival to showcase your work (at your own interest, not an expected outcome from this workshop). We welcome any lantern donations to setup ahead of time for the festival!
