Mainland Moose Conservation Workshop!

Join Nature Nova Scotia at the Deanery Project on Saturday, July 15 from 10am-2pm for a family-friendly mainland moose conservation workshop! Learn about the mainland moose and why it is important to protect them.

The workshop is focused on mainland moose preservation, and is family-friendly. Kids will have the option to complete an art project and write letters to politicians about why mainland moose preservation is important!

Adults can take a survey or join a round table discussion on forestry practices, protected areas, and moose sightings. After lunch, we’ll explore the Deanery’s property, learning how to identify moose signs and capturing high-quality photographs to aid in tracking populations. The walk is optional and moderate in difficulty.
