Spring! Eggs & Kites

Spring 2022 arrives filled with the hope of new beginnings and the sorrows of war. The days warm, and the birds return giving hope for a new year even as friends around the world struggle for freedom. In an attempt to hold both joys and grief we offer this spring gathering.

Morning activities are child-focused. The afternoon is a time for people of all ages to come together to support Ukraine and Peace through art and kite making. We will build simple blue and yellow kites, and release messages of peace together on the field. We will also create a collaborative art piece – and invite visitors to bring blue and yellow scraps of fabric, paper, plastic or treasures to contribute to an outdoor weaving.

Cost: Morning Children’s Program $15/family
Lunch $10/ adult, $5/child
Afternoon activities by donation (fundraiser)

11:30 -12:00 Egg hunt!!
12:00 -1:30 Lunch – Borscht, home made bread and dessert
1:00 – 3:00 Ukrainian Peace solidarity activities (Kite building/Collective art weaving project/Art demonstrations: stained glass, knitting and tunes/ Silent auction fundraiser for Ukraine)
3:00 Closing Circle – Peace for Ukraine Solidarity
