Healthy living has to engage the body, mind and spirit. All three need regular exercise and nourishment and we do our best to support that in our healthy living projects.
At The Deanery Project we offer great opportunities for enjoying the fresh air, the abundance of nature, plus the opportunity to work, learn and play with others, building lifelong relationships with other people who also love the woods and the shore.
Whether building a new “tiny house,” putting up a shed for our expanding fleet of bicycles, or digging in our permaculture gardens, many aspects of The Deanery Project contribute to the quest for a healthier lifestyle. No matter when you come, all are welcome to walk the kilometers of trails through our mossy woods.
Since our start up we have established several annual events including: the Bicycle Carnival, the SeaLight SkyLight Festival, and the very popular Rural Roots Festival. We continue to experiment with new ideas, and how we can work in partnership with other organizations to support healthy living in our community.
