Rural Roots – Oct 29, 2016
The Deanery Project’s third annual Rural Roots Festival is a day packed with learning, sharing and fun for all ages. Hardest part of the day is trying to choose which five workshops from 25 great options ranging from Tiny Farming, building a canjo (one string banjo), mushroom identification and dry stone walling to Scottish Country Dancing, rocket stoves, food fermentation and more.
Registration opens at 10 am with workshops finishing up at 5:00. Admission is $15 for Deanery members and $20 for non-members, under 16 yrs is $5. Delicious home made lunch and dinner available for purchase.
The day wraps up with a concert from 7:00- 9:00 with Celtic and Latin rhythms by “Deanery Friends”.
